Emilia Janet’s quinceañera was postponed from July to September because of COVID-19, but nevertheless it was celebrated by making this day as memorable as ever.
The day started as hot and sunny as a September day in Menifee,CA. Emilia got to experience her first tradition as a lady just turning 15 years old, getting her makeup done. It was followed by her mom helping her get into her quinceañera dress on.
Traditionally, the religion ceremony takes place in a Catholic church, but with COVID-19 it took place at the same venue as her reception Rancho Los Agaves because they have a Capilla. The priest gave a beautiful ceremony and called upon family members to give Emilia advised now that she has enter society as a young lady.
The day continued with formal photos with her friends and family and of course with her court. She surprised her guests with a traditional Ballet Folklorico dance from Jalisco. She dance her traditional dances of vals, her father daughter dance, and mother daughter dance. Lastly, once again she surprised doing a modern dance with her full court, and sister to start the party.
After a full day of celebrations and creating memories the day ended with the cutting of the cake with Emilia’s dad and mom helping her.
overall it was a day full of laugther, cheers toasting to a bright future, and family making the day of a young lady as special as can be.
